BREEDER PREFIX: As registered breeders, we use the Monnybrook prefix and are registered with Dogs Australia. The name originated on Nicola’s parents’ farm in England, UK, where they managed Monnybrook Farm dog boarding, cattery, and horse livery services for over twenty years; Whilst also caring for an exotic bird aviary and many other animals, including exotic birds, Ducks, Chickens, Rabbits, Tortoises, Ferrets, and a peacock named Rajah.

ETHICAL PRACTICES: Our breeding program prioritises a safe and caring environment for all our dogs. We follow laws such as the Animal Care and Protection Regulation (2023) and the QLD Animal Welfare Code of Practice for Breeding Dogs to guide our practices.

​​We oppose puppy mills, unnecessary euthanasia, and puppy scams, and advise potential buyers to be cautious to avoid them. To this end, we partner with platforms like Dogzonline and Perfect Pets, who ensure their advertisers are genuinely registered Dogs Australia ​Breeders.

​OUR BACKGROUND STORY: Having retired from nursing, we turned to breeding Labradors and raising puppies. Our love for Labs developed through a long- standing relationship with the breed as companions and therapy dogs in mental health settings. We want to share our passion with those who appreciate their companionship and intelligence.

WE AIM TO: Maintain the standards set out in the Labrador Retriever Breed Standard (2018) and prevent the breed from being diluted by hybrid designer dogs.

Breed new generations of Labradors from healthy, purebred parents who have undergone hip and elbow scoring and other health tests to reduce the risk of genetic issues. All relevant documentation is available for viewing.

Be open and transparent. Taking on a puppy is a significant decision and a long- term commitment, especially considering they can live for 15 or more years. We encourage informed choices, knowing that a puppy will leave pawprints on your heart and love you unconditionally. 

Respond promptly, recognising the excitement and stress involved in acquiring a furry companion- something we have experienced ourselves.

 Our priority  within our BREEDING PROGRAM is the well being of our dogs' and puppies. Some of the roles we take on before your puppy is in your care includes:

• Managers: Litter planning, health screenings, and similar actions are used to protect the health of the puppy’s parents, both genetically and physically.

• Midwives: We’re retired nurses who now deliver and raise puppies during 24-hour shift work once again.

• Puppy Raisers:We address the health and social needs of our dogs and puppies.Additionally, we attend to weaning, worming, vaccinations, microchipping, sensory & social enrichment,

• Administrators: We stay organised with the purchasing of tests and many resources needed throughout the journey. As well as keeping up with our documentation by maintaining accurate record-keeping and registrations.

• Digital Creators:We show you and other followers pictures and videos of our puppy’s fun antics.

• Customer Services: We answer questions and arrange meetings with us, the dogs, and the puppies.

• Coordinators: We ready each puppy for their journey by providing a ‘Moving on Bag’. You’ll find a scent cushion, a booklet, puppy food, bowl, and toileting pads in this bag. With you, they’ll be ready for fresh adventures!

• Social Workers:A puppy handover takes place from 8 weeks old onwards. With ongoing support offered.
